I’m such a picky and discerning consumer and could write a scarily long review about how amazing this chili oil is on every metric from quality to taste to texture to distinctiveness in the market, haha. I’m skilled at reading food labels (I always optimize for health first) and could sit here and break down why this product has a perfect ingredients list.
Instead, I’ll say that Crispy Ho has brought instant sparkle to my daily meals again! Despite being a lover of flavor + good eats, I had stopped buying chili oils for years because all the other ones on the market use toxic/rancid/inflammatory seed oils, while being greasy or spicy-but-flavorless, or full of chili seeds (blech!). I used to message chili oil brands and ask them to consider reformulating with non-toxic oils, but they stick with cheaper oils to maximize profits. Not so with Crispy Ho, which is why I was able to reintroduce chili oil crisp into my pantry again.
Crispy Ho should truly be in its own category because its depth of umami, crispy texture, and premium ingredients are unmatched by any other chili oil product.
It seriously enhances every meal — I put it on potatoes, bagels with cream cheese, lunch and dinner bowls, it even takes my restaurant takeout orders to the next level. I also mix it with citrus ponzu, rice vinegar, and olive oil to create a fab asian salad dressing that people can’t get enough of.
It makes the best and easiest gift, too — I’ll never have to second-guess whether someone is going to love my gift or not 🥹
